Hello! Since 2012 our pampering bath and body products have been made by hand in Leeds from natural ingredients and old fashioned elbow grease (metaphorical not literal!).
Our products are designed to provide a little slice of attainable luxury without costing the earth. Our product packaging is and can be recycled and we are striving to be as environmentally friendly as possible.
We believe everyone deserves to be able to treat themselves to some quality self care and take a little time out for themselves, to recharge from busy lifestyles and have a little 'me time'.
Our Story
Hello there! We are Claire and Mark Riley and we are the co-founders of Little Shop of Lathers. We live in Leeds with our 4 cats who, as any cat owner will know, completely rule the house and we are just their humble servants!
We are lucky enough that we have been able to turn our dreams into reality and we get to work together every day, from home.
LSOL was born in 2012 after Claire was diagnosed with GAD and was housebound with panic attacks. We made the decision for Claire to give up employment and work at home, thereby giving some control back over the crippling anxiety. At her lowest point Claire spent hours each day in the bath, it was her safe space. Instead of spending a small fortune on lovely bath products she decided to engage her brain in a different activity and make some of her own bath treats. And that in a nutshell is how LSOL came into life!
We are also extremely lucky that we have been able to establish our own bricks and mortar shop in Horsforth, Leeds. The multi award-winning Our Handmade Collective is a handmade independent gift shop supporting the work of over 140 small, indie, local businesses. You can find either Claire or Mark working in the shop daily - we juggle both businesses side by side and absolutely love what we get to do each and every day!
